Alternate Current
Alternate Current is a négociant-style producer dedicated to crafting small-production wines from exceptional vineyard sites—parcels that might otherwise be lost in larger blends due to their limited yields or complex backstories. Their philosophy is rooted in offering an alternate path for these unique expressions, with a strong emphasis on terroir, grower relationships, and low-intervention winemaking.

Amandum
Amandum is a four-generation family winery nestled in Friuli’s Isonzo region, where iron-rich soils, Alpine protection, and Adriatic breezes create ideal conditions for expressive, low-intervention wines. Now led by great-granddaughter Isabella, the estate honors its deep-rooted tradition while connecting a new generation of wine drinkers to the unique character of Friulian wine.

Domaine Croze-Granier
Domaine Croze Granier, a sixth-generation family estate led by Mathilde Cobbi-Granier, has been producing Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Lirac, and Côtes du Rhône wines since 1895. In 2022, Mathilde and her husband, Xavier, chose to leave their city life behind to return home and rejuvenate the family domaine, crafting elegant, terroir-driven wines that honor tradition while ushering in a vibrant new chapter.
-

Entre Vinyes
Maria Barrena co-manages Entre Vinyes with her husband Josep, tending vineyards near Foix Natural Park in Baix Penedès. These old vines thrive in a challenging, dry, and nutrient-poor environment. Despite the harsh conditions, the vineyard supports biodiversity and is organically farmed, fostering a balanced, self-sustaining ecosystem that yields wines of remarkable character.
-

Fontanacota
Our good friend, Ludovico, and his family have vineyards in Valle Prino, a protected and shaded area on the border of Piemonte and Liguria. They produce incredibly bright expressions of Vermentino and light-bodied Rossese with refreshing acidity.
-

Jeaunaux-Robin
Jeaunaux-Robin is a small Champagne producer, located in the village of Talus Saint-Prix in La Vallée du Petit Morin. With less than 6 hectares of organic vineyard holdings, this producer mostly focuses on Pinot Meunier which grows particularly well in this little corner of the Côte de Blancs.
-

La Fralluca
Wife-and-husband team Francesca and Luca (Fra-Luca) left high-powered careers in design and marketing to make honest, acid-forward wines in the highest part of Suvereto, overlooking Maremma. They handle every bunch by hand and, to us, represent a Tuscan example of mountain fruit versus valley floor fruit.
-

Lasorte Cuadra
In the heart of Puglia’s Valle d’Itria, a new generation is working to safeguard the region’s nearly forgotten cooperative winemaking tradition. Through their Silos project at the historic Cantina Sociale di Cisternino, Roberto and Stephanie Cuadra honor small-scale farming and native varieties while crafting wines that connect past and present with intention and care.
-

Mas Magnan
Brothers Guilhem and Hugo Frayesse took over their family’s 10 hectares of vineyards in the Languedoc and launched their own project, Mas Magnan, in 2020. The wines are elegant, restrained, and showcase Hugo and Guilhem’s deep belief in organics, minimal intervention, and highlighting the diverse soils and microclimates of the Pays d’Hérault.
-

Mauro Zino
Luigi Mauro is the fifth generation to farm his family’s historic vineyards on the hilltops overlooking Dolceacqua in Liguria. Manually working steep dry-stone terraces planted to Rossese, Pigato, and Vermentino, he produces wines that reflect the character and history of this remarkable landscape.
-

Mulit
In the rolling hills of Slovenia’s Brda, the organically farmed estate of MULIT is guided by brothers Tjaš and Peter Prinčič. Rooted in fossil-rich soils and a deep respect for biodiversity, they craft small-lot wines that express the nuance, balance, and shared cultural landscape of this singular corner of Europe.
-

Edoardo Losappio is a third-generation winemaker on his family’s 3-hectare, contiguous estate in the coolest part of Montalcino. Before taking over at home, he worked in the Jura, where he fell in love with non-interventionist viticulture. He’s determined to craft a lighter-bodied, more micro-terroir-driven style of Brunello—turning the idea of what’s considered “modern” in Tuscany on its head.
